AlphaTrAI

AlphaTrAI, a venture-backed, technology driven asset management firm, announced the launch of its first external fund. Designed for high net worth investors and family offices, this systematic fund uses a proprietary suite of machine-learning models that dynamically adjust their market exposure based on their forecasts of risk and return. These models built by a multidisciplinary team of applied mathematicians, physicists, and AI experts generalize and modernize classic approaches such as signal detection and incorporate dynamic risk mitigation strategies.

DriveWealth is adding its first dedicated chief technology officer, Minerva Tantoco, according to the firm. Tantoco co-founded digital commercial bank Grasshopper Bank and also worked at Merrill Lynch and UBS. She is also overseeing a development team that aims to bring on more than a dozen new engineers by the end of the year.
