ETRADE

E*TRADE Financial Corp. (ETFC) is reportedly preparing to enter the cryptocurrency world with plans to allow customers to trade popular coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum on its platform. The move would make it one of the largest securities brokerages to allow cryptocurrency trading, according to anonymous sources familiar with the firm’s plans interviewed by Bloomberg.

Interactive Brokers

Online trading major Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (IEX:IBKR) has unveiled its plans to introduce a feature that will consolidate Scanners and Watchlists into a single tool that provides multiple methods to create and update one’s instrument list.

Watchlists and Market Scanners both result in lists of contracts, but are created differently. Watchlists are user-defined, static lists. Scanners are criteria-driven dynamic lists that can be refreshed with the click of a button.

Broadridge Financial Solutions

Broadridge Financial Solutions has taken a major step to expand its front-to-back wealth management capabilities via the acquisition of Rockall Technologies, a provider of securities-based lending (SBL) and collateral management solutions for wealth management firms and commercial banks.

Rockall’s collateral management technology targets financial institutions that need to “improve the performance of wealth, retail, commercial and corporate lending,” officials say. Rockall adds that its technology attempts to “streamline collateral management,” and act as a “safeguard against credit risk and enhance lending.”

Schroders

investIQ, a digital tool developed by Schroders alongside behavioural scientists, combines the science of behavioural finance and investment education, which aims to enable Citi clients to better understand how their personality could impact their investments. It will be exclusively available to Citi clients in Singapore, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Poland in the first half of 2019. It will be gradually rolled out in more Asian markets in the second half of 2019.
