PIMCO is enormous, one of the world’s largest investment managers with well over $1 trillion in assets under management.

Broadridge Financial Solutions announced that it has purchased ClearStructure Financial Technology. The seller is a global provider of portfolio management solutions for the private debt markets. As private capital markets expand, ClearStructure’s private debt capabilities will “create a differentiated solution in the market and enable Broadridge to serve new clients.”

Alchemy Technologies, a Fintech infrastructure company providing online lending tools and platforms, has formed a partnership with Plaid – a company that creates tech to connect traditional finance with modern Fintech services. Alchemy will be providing Plaid with a service to support account and asset verification for improved lending decisions.

Wellington Management, a USD1.1 trillion global asset manager, has chosen Artivest’s open-architecture digital platform to help provide financial advisors and qualified high-net-worth investors access to its alternative strategies. Wellington is the latest investment manager to expand how it currently provides advisor access to its private alternative investment programs through the Artivest Open Network.

Charles Schwab is buying TD Ameritrade for $26 billion according to a report by Fox Business. Ameritrade stock (ticker: AMTD), which is down on the year, was trading 23% higher in premarket action. Schwab (SCHW) was up 11%.
